Cryptorchidism is the veterinary term for undescended testicles in dogs.

Young male dogs may typically be missing one or both testicles. Many people try massaging to help bring them down but we're not sure this is a good idea as your dog may try to hide them from you! Your vet may advise early castration for dogs suffering with this issue as if left within the groin it is believed to cause cancer. In the showring it is a requirement for a male dog to have both testicles descended.

Homeopathy should be given on a clean tongue with no strong flavours in the mouth - ideally this means not with food. The tablets/pills are small and taste sweet and most dogs will readily accept them. If your dog objects then try giving with a bland flavour such as milk, plain yogurt or even butter.

How should I give homeopathy to my dog?

Our homeopathic tablets and pills should be given 30 minutes before or after food. This is because homeopathy needs to be given on a 'clean tongue'. This means no strong flavours in your pet's mouth. The tablets and pills are very small and taste sweet so most dogs will accept them readily.

If you struggle to give your dog tablets or pills then we suggest that you crush the tablet between the fold of a piece of paper and mix with a drop of milk or in a tiny pat of butter. Most dogs will happily take their homeopathy like this.

Is it true that you shouldn't touch homeopathy?

Yes and no. It is difficult not to touch the tablets at all but try to keep handling to a minimum to preserve its potency. Your homeopathy will be supplied to you in a plastic tube. When giving to your dog simply drop a tablet or pill into the palm of your hand. Most dogs will lick it off your hand as the tablets taste sweet.

What is the dose for a small or large breed of dog?

Whether your dog is a mastiff or a chihuahua they will have the same dose of homeopathy. This makes homeopathy a very economical choice for owners of large breeds!

How quickly does homeopathy work?

Depending on the nature of the problem most customers will see a difference within a week or so. If you don't see an improvement then please get in touch with us as sometimes we can tailor-make homeopathy especially for your dog. There is no extra charge for this service.

What age can I give homeopathy from?

Homeopathy is safe to give to your dog from 12 weeks old. With the exception of our range for pregnant bitches do not give during pregnancy.

Best result I could have wished for

My boy had no testicles at 8 weeks. My vet recommended massaging daily which I did and I told him I was also using homeopathic tablets (Boy Special). He was happy for me to do this. My boy is now 16 weeks old and has 2 testicles. I wouldn't hesitate to use Boy Special again.

Sadly didn’t help

Fast dispatch but sadly didn’t work for our Tommy . We tried 2 courses but sadly still didn’t reappear . He had 2 then one disappeared and hasn’t appeared again . So sad as we bred him and he was the only one as our plan was to show him but can’t as he’s lacking x

Still early days as we are only on just finishing week 2 so not expecting to see a difference just yet. I'm hoping by 6 weeks should be able to though.

Missing testicle

My young boy has his right testicle missing, we are currently on week 2 of the 8 week course. No sign of it yet but early days. However I have noticed him having a shorter temper than normal hopefully this is a good sign.

Sorry didn't work my boy has had 4 courses from 5 months old although the sac developed for the undecended testicle it is totally empty 😥

Dear Lise. Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am sorry that you dont feel Boy Special has worked for your dog however I would urge you to continue with the course. I have tracked your order and it was only delivered on 23/11 which means that you are only just half way through the course. It is very important that the course is completed before you make a judgement on whether it has worked or not. Occasionally some customers find that they need to do two courses. The other variable is the age of your dog as Boy Special works best on dogs under one year old although I have known for dogs over this age to have success.

Just started.

No results as yet...14wks X1 down since 8/9wks other inguinal..felt it last night at 14wks.
Massaging..but still quite high up.
Will kp going ,he was lil guy at birth..bruv had x2 descended at 8wks..none o family are Crypto so v sad tbh...n I bred mother n dad n grandad n gr8 grandad too..none of rest their family have any Cryptos..reckon its maybe a runt thing in this line.🤞 but have v little hope at 14wks.Will kp in touch.x

Thank you for leaving a review. Boy Special is an 8 week course. Your dog hasn't been taking it for even a full fortnight so far and this is a 2 month course so please continue with it before you give up.

I have had two great things so far from Canine Natural Cures: boy special tablets for my puppy who only had the one nut but after the course had two v impressive ones!
