The Nervous Dog Pack is a 90-day natural support course for dogs who are very nervous, easily frightened or still affected by a bad experience in their past. It brings together Sanper 2, our daily homeopathic support for nervous dogs, and Calm Xtra herbal calming drops for the moments your dog finds hardest.
Whether your dog is a rescue with an unknown history or has been with you for years and never quite got over a frightening experience, nervousness that has built up over time won't disappear overnight. That's why this pack gives you a full 90-day course, so your dog has the time they need to feel safer and more settled.
What's in the Nervous Dog Pack
- Sanper 2 homeopathy (90-day supply) – one small, sweet-tasting tablet a day, the same for every breed and size. Gentle, non-drowsy daily support for dogs who are nervous, anxious or affected by a past fright. Our 90-day supply already includes 30 days free.
- Calm Xtra natural calming drops (30ml) – a herbal tincture of valerian, skullcap, passionflower, wild lettuce and Jamaican dogwood. Add a few drops to food or a treat before visitors, vet visits, car journeys, new places or bedtime.
Is the Nervous Dog Pack right for my dog?
This pack may suit your dog if they:
- Are easily startled or always seem on edge
- Became nervous after a frightening or difficult experience
- Are a rescue dog with an unknown or difficult background
- Seem worried around unfamiliar people, places or sounds
- Struggle to settle, or become very clingy
- Seem anxious even when there's no obvious trigger
If your dog's main problem is reacting to other dogs, our Reactive Dog Pack may be a better fit. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll help you choose.
The best version of your dog
Every dog has their own personality. Some are naturally outgoing and some are naturally quieter and more reserved, and that's perfectly fine. You can't turn an introvert into an extrovert, and that isn't the aim. The aim is to help your dog feel as safe and confident as they can be, so their true personality can shine through rather than being held back by fear. We like to think of it as helping your dog become the best version of themselves.
What to expect over the 90 days
- Weeks 1–3: Give Sanper 2 every day and use Calm Xtra before the situations you know your dog finds hard. Some owners notice small changes early on, but many dogs need around three weeks before you can judge progress.
- Weeks 4–8: Look for small, gradual signs – your dog may settle more easily, recover more quickly after a fright, or be a little more curious and relaxed around new people.
- Weeks 9–12: Keep going consistently. Dogs who have been nervous for a long time often need the full course (and sometimes longer) to build their confidence.
Progress with a nervous dog is often slow and gentle, with good days and harder days. That's completely normal.
Getting the best from the pack
- Give Sanper 2 every day – consistency matters far more than quantity
- Let your dog set the pace and avoid pushing them into situations that frighten them
- Give them a quiet, safe space at home they can retreat to
- Use it alongside positive, reward-based training or a qualified behaviourist if you're working with one
- Try Calm Xtra at home first, as it may make some dogs a little drowsy

Homeopathy FAQ
How should I give homeopathy to my dog?
Our homeopathic tablets and pills should be given 30 minutes before or after food. This is because homeopathy needs to be given on a 'clean tongue'. This means no strong flavours in your pet's mouth. The tablets and pills are very small and taste sweet so most dogs will accept them readily.
If you struggle to give your dog tablets or pills then we suggest that you crush the tablet between the fold of a piece of paper and mix with a drop of milk or in a tiny pat of butter. Most dogs will happily take their homeopathy like this.
Is it true that you shouldn't touch homeopathy?
Yes and no. It is difficult not to touch the tablets at all but try to keep handling to a minimum to preserve its potency. Your homeopathy will be supplied to you in a plastic tube. When giving to your dog simply drop a tablet or pill into the palm of your hand. Most dogs will lick it off your hand as the tablets taste sweet.
What is the dose for a small or large breed of dog?
Whether your dog is a mastiff or a chihuahua they will have the same dose of homeopathy. This makes homeopathy a very economical choice for owners of large breeds!
How quickly does homeopathy work?
Depending on the nature of the problem most customers will see a difference within a week or so. If you don't see an improvement then please get in touch with us as sometimes we can tailor-make homeopathy especially for your dog. There is no extra charge for this service.
What age can I give homeopathy from?
Homeopathy is safe to give to your dog from 12 weeks old. With the exception of our range for pregnant bitches do not give during pregnancy.
Give one Sanper 2 tablet daily, ideally on a clean tongue around 30 minutes before or after food. If your dog won't take it directly, try it with a little milk, plain yoghurt or butter. Add a few drops of Calm Xtra to food or a treat about 20 mins before situations your dog finds stressful. You can use both on the same day.
Why is my dog so nervous?
Why is my dog so nervous?
Nervousness often has its roots in the past: a frightening experience, rough handling, missing out on socialisation as a puppy, or a big upheaval such as being rehomed. Some dogs have an obvious reason for feeling the way they do. Others, especially rescues with an unknown history, don't, and you may never know exactly what happened. Either way, a dog who has learnt that the world can be scary can stay on edge long after the original cause has gone. If your dog has become nervous suddenly, it's worth asking your vet to rule out pain or another physical cause.
How will the Nervous Dog Pack help?
How will the Nervous Dog Pack help?
Sanper 2 provides gentle, non-drowsy daily support for dogs whose nervousness seems linked to a past fright, a difficult experience or an unknown history. Calm Xtra gives extra herbal support for specific moments your dog finds hard, such as visitors, vet visits, car journeys, new places or settling at night. A calmer dog is better able to learn that the world is safe, so the pack works best alongside patience and positive training.
How long will it take to work?
How long will it take to work?
This isn't an overnight fix. We recommend giving Sanper 2 consistently for around three weeks before judging progress. Nervousness usually builds up over months or years, so dogs who have been worried for a long time may need the full 90 days or longer. Look for small signs of progress, such as settling more easily, recovering more quickly after a fright or being a little more curious.
Is it suitable if I don't know my dog's history?
Is it suitable if I don't know my dog's history?
Yes. Sanper 2 is particularly suited to rescue dogs and dogs with an unknown history, as well as dogs you've had for years who were affected by a bad experience. You don't need to know exactly what happened to your dog to start supporting them. If you're not sure whether it's the right choice, email us at woof@caninenaturalcures.co.uk and we'll talk it through with you.
What happens after the 90 days?
What happens after the 90 days?
Once you're happy with how your dog is doing, get in touch and we'll advise you on gradually reducing Sanper 2. If your dog needs more support, we can recommend the next step. The pack is designed to support your dog while they learn, not replace training. Owners who combine daily support with patience, a calm routine and positive, reward-based training usually see the best progress.

Ali Carter These drops are an absolute Godsend!! I just give my little 11 year old Shih Tzu 8 drops 20 minutes before bedtime, and her 3 hour non-stop barking has stopped completely. I am finally getting a night's sleep after a year of broken nights. We have no idea why she was doing it as she has her 2 Golden Retrievers with her whom she loves, a light, water, and a variety of beds. Now she is calm at night, and yet completely normal during the day. I can thoroughly recommend them. Thank you so much!! :-)
Hi Alison, We are thrilled to hear that Calm Xtra has made such a positive difference for your Shih Tzu and your sleep! Thank you for sharing your experience and for recommending us. Wishing you many peaceful nights ahead!

Annette Pleaden Our Macadonian rescue dog, Morwenna who, has always been more than a little nervous at this time of year was so calm this year after our giving her the noise remedy and the Calm Xtra. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who's dog gets stressed out

Avril James We gave these to our 7 year old female bulldog as we were due to have fireworks in the area and she really gets stressed with them usually. She was very calm and even slept through some of the bangs! Thanks very much

Claire And happy humans. This stuff is great.
My lil friend is much more settled. We van actually now identify her wee issues after her having this.
We were all distressed with her issues. And not at all now.

Diana Benjamin What is so lovely about this company is the personal touch and how much they care. I could ring up and get some honest advice and guidance about my new rescue dog's seperation anxiety. I did not expect miracles but straight away I noticed a difference in my dog's behaviour. He has been much more relaxed and is settling in well since taking the Sanper 2. Plus the other products I was advised to buy are making a big difference as well.
Alongside following the training advice I have recieved from elsewhere. I will happily continue using these products.
Thank you Diane for the lovely review and the gorgeous photo! I am so glad to hear that the Sanper 2 is helping. I am sure your comments will be very helpful to other customers. Thank you !

Joanne Holt I’m still reserving judgement so 3* as I have a super nervous dog around humans after being locked up for her 2 years of life. I will try anything to help her. However I can’t be sure any changes I her behaviour are being aided or not?

Lindsay Atkinson Just ordered my 2nd bottle for my dogs. Definitely helped my anxious velcro dog, going to try them both on it in the upcoming firework season.

B.D. My 1 year old Jack Russell, Arthur, was getting quite stressed so we tried the Sanper 2 and it has had a massive impact. He's much calmer now and absolutely loves taking them, he thinks they are treats and he begs for another one. I don't know what flavour they have put in them but he loves them. I was worried we wouldn't be able to get him to take them but he literally laps it up! I love giving it to him now as he is so funny how much he loves the taste.
L
Loz New Year fireworks which seems to start earlier and last longer each year. It seems to take the edge off, it’s also worked quite well when travelling or staying in unfamiliar places to bring calm.
Hi Loz, we're so glad to hear that the Calm Xtra drops help your dog stay calm during stressful times. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Anonymous Sanper 2 has so far helped calm my girlie that has struggled with men especially. She has been in Sanper 3 and calming oil too, but feel the Sanper 2 covers more of what she needs. I’m pleased with what results I’ve seen.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear Sanper 2 has been helping your dog feel calmer. Wishing her all the best!

Lindytrueman My 8 year old Labrador suffers with anxiety, she is not bothered about fireworks, thunderstorms, or gunshots but the pinging of the microwave the ringing of a bike bell terrifies her, but these don’t seem to be making any difference how long does she need to be taking them before you see a difference?

Marina Didymus First time of ordering from canine natural cures and very impressed with their service and quick delivery of products. Its only been a couple of weeks since we started our rescue dog on Sanper 2, I wasn't expecting to see any results yet however she is happy to go into the garden on her own (something she hasn't done for a few years) and seems a little calmer on walks. I can only put this down to her having Sanper 2. Thank you!
Hi Marina, we're so happy to hear Sanper 2 is making a positive difference for your dog. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're here if you need any further support.

Anne ROBINSON This product has really helped my dog Billie settle down for the night , no more fidgeting or fretting, also on long car journeys I give her a few drops and she settles well in the car.

Lynne Worrall They haven't had any effect so far on my papillon but maybe the effect is cumulative

Sally Bailey Kept informed and speedy service
K
Kristina Urbanowska Unfortunately these drops didn't work. I gave them to my elderly dog 30 minutes before dropping him off at a friend's house. He howled and barked for 4½ hours and made himself sick. My friend and her dogs were with him the whole time. Since losing his best friend who he spent every day with for 13 years, he now suffers terrible separation anxiety if I leave him.
S
Sarabjit Mandair I brought Calm Xtra Natural Calming Drops for Dogs because my dog just jumps on guests and makes them feel uncomfortable. Usually I would not use something like this as my baby has a strong personality and I would never change that but as i had a big garden party I needed to do something as I wanted my baby there as well ❤️ omg i gave the drops an hour before the guests arrived and my pooch was so relaxed and so layed back with no jumping (by the way my baby is a 38kg husky) or trying to take food off the plates. These drops are a god send but I myself would only give them if I had a garden party for 40 guests as I did feel guilty. 😱
Hi Sarabjit, we're so happy to hear the drops helped make your garden party more enjoyable! It's great to hear your dog was relaxed and comfortable. Thanks for sharing your experience!
T
Tracy Brobyn I tried this after my little yorkie russell was attacked by 2 great Danes and became terrified to go on walks, she has slowly become more relaxed and confident now, she also sleeps better at night.

SUE BURNHAM My dog has ben on these tablets for almost 2 weeks and I haven’t seen any change in her yet . I bought 3 months supply so I’ll keep persevering and hope to see a change .
Hi Sue. Thanks for your message and I am sorry to hear that Sanper 2 has not helped as yet. We do normally recommend allowing around 3 weeks for a result. If in another week you have not seen a change then do get back to us to see if this is the most appropriate product for your dog.
